Amber Campbell has been teaching at Central High School for more than eighteen years. She received her Bachelor's of Music
in viola performance, and her Bachelor's of Music Education from the University of Colorado in Boulder. She was awarded
the "Honor Strings Quartet Scholarship" for four years and was the first freshmen to ever receive this award.
Ms. Campbell also has a Masters Degree in Computer Technology from Leslie College. She has also served on the All-State
Orchestra Board for four years and has served as the western slope representative for ASTA (American String Teachers
Association) for six years. She has presented a workshop at the National ASTA convention in Reno, Nevada.
She is the viola instructor and co-founder of the CASTA Middle School String Camp and is on the faculty at Colorado Mesa University.
Ms. Campbell has been a member of the CU Symphony, CU Chamber Orchestra, Cheyene Symphony, Boulder Philharmonic, and
the Grand Junction Symphony. Along with performing she enjoys teaching at her private viola studio and continues to be in demand
as a guest conductor/clinician for various orchestra events. In ten years, eight of her students have received full scholarships
to attend universities for viola performance and music education. She splits her teaching time between Bookcliff Middle School
and Central High School. Her groups have won various awards over the years at the Colorado West Invitational Music Festival.
Many of her students have particiapated in the Colorado All State Orchestra and other honor groups.
