The purpose of Central High School Bowling team will be to provide high school students with an opportunity to experience the spirit of team competition and community pride while participating in a sport they can enjoy for the rest of their lives.
The team-bowling program here at Central High School is available to males and females, will bridge barriers of size, age, and race, providing its participation with unique challenges and test of skills. This especially is available for the students who lack the interest, or may not be able to compete in other sports.
Team members will follow Mesa County Valley School District 51 Athletic Training Rules Contract.
District 51 Board Policy states:
The possession, distribution, sale or other use of illegal drugs and/or alcohol is prohibited and is a serious violation of the law.
The use or possession of tobacco in any form is prohibited.
Continued willful disobedience or open persistent defiance of authority is grounds for suspension.
Student rules of conduct and behavior apply at all school-sponsored activities both on and off campus.
In order for a student to participate on the Bowling Team, the student’s parent/guardian must sign and return to the school the athletic training contract that is obtained from the bowling sponsor.
It is the responsibility of the teacher sponsor to insure that all bowlers meet academic eligibility requirements as established by Central High School Athletic Department. Bowlers grades/attendance will monitored during the bowling season. Bowlers that are not eligible during the week of a tournament will not be eligible to bowl that week.
Bowling LETTER or Pin:
Players must do the following to be eligible:
- Two Years on Team
- Qualify for State
- Miss Only 1 Practice (negotiable)
- Miss Only 1 Tournament (negotiable)
- Participate in Fundraisers
- Good Attitude/ Behavior/ Effort
- Qualifying Grades
