WorkKeys Assessment

Has your counselor suggested that you might want to take the WorkKeys Assessments for up to 3 elective credits? The WorkKeys Assessments will be given after school on October 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. The cost is $15. Please sign up with Ms. Cavanagh in room 330.

Book Club

CHS Book Club meets today, Monday, at lunch in the library. Come help us kick off our Teens' Top Ten Preview! We'll be watching the trailer for 'Eye of Minds' by James Dashner, who wrote 'The Maze Runner,' and also listening to part of the book. Check the Library webpage for the schedule for the rest of the week.

Voter Registration Drive

It’s that time of year again. It’s time to perform your civic duty and vote, and for many of our CHS seniors they will have their very first opportunity to vote this year! This can be an exciting and fun experience for many students, but voting for the first time is also very intimidating. In order to help ease the stress of registering to vote, there will be a voter registration booth set up at Central High School on October 14, 2014. The registration table will be set up in the main hall from 10AM through 12PM. We encourage all eighteen year old Central students to stop by and get registered!

Blood Drive

This year, Central High School IS GOING TO HAVE the most blood donations in the valley! The only way to make that happen is with your help. We want to prove to Palisade that we are more involved and dedicated to win the Blood Drive Trophy while helping those in need in our community! In order to donate, you must follow the basic guidelines: be 120 Lbs. , no piercings or tattoos within the past year, and not having been out of the country in the last year (If you have specific questions email: Trey.downey@d51schools.org). When donating, drink at least 32 ounces of water before and after, eat plenty of food, and make sure there is no strenuous activity being performed after the donation. Please help us achieve our goal by giving back to the community! If you would like to sign up and be a helping hand email or call Trey Downey at 254-6200 ext. 22172 or trey.downey@d51schools.org and he will give you the scheduling information. Snacks and shirts will be there as well for all of the Warrior family who participate. Let’s help our community and show Palisade who is on top!
