Recent reports have shown that students are shying away from careers in math and science, but that's not the case at Central High School. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. This program is the only one offered on the Western Slope.

Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA)!
This is a year-long program that teaches middle and high school students how to start and run their own REAL businesses. YEA! was developed at the University of Rochester and the Grand Junction Area Chamber is excited to be introducing this program to Grand Junction and Mesa County. YEA! guides high school students through the process of starting and running a legitimate business or social movement over the course of a full academic year. YEA! has graduated almost 600 students over the past 7 years, who have started almost 450 businesses and social movements! Space is limited to 24 spaces.

This year's class fees will be available to be paid on-line just prior to Registration and throughout the school year. Don't forget to print a copy of the receipt for your records ... Our School Advisory or Accountability Committee meets on the first Wednesday of every month, in the library. Call the office, at 254-6200, for more information.
